Open Water Swimming Tasmania

There's a weekend of swimming on offer in the new year, with Race 5 of the 2026/27 Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series being held at Devonport on Sat 2 Jan followed by Race 6 at Bridport on Sun 3 Jan.  

Devonport SLSC hosts the Pub 2 Club race. The 2km race starts in the Mersey River (at the boat ramp opposite the Elimatta Hotel) before heading out to Bass Strait and finishing at the beach in front of the Surf Life Saving Club. 

There is also a shorter 500m race on offer, starting and finishing in front of the surf club.
