Open Water Swimming Tasmania

Here Comes the Sun is an annual community swim held at Kingston Beach, south of Hobart, on the first Sunday in October to celebrate the return of daylight saving and the approaching warmer months.

The first race in the 2026/27 Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series kicks off at Carlton Beach, east of Hobart.

Bicheno's iconic ocean swimming event, the Devil of a Swim, takes place in April with a 5km swim around the stunning Diamond Island. Shorter events (400m, 1km, 2km) are also offered.
