Open Water Swimming Tasmania

Stewarts Baythers and Walkers is a group based at Stewarts Bay, Port Arthur, Tasman Peninsula. 

The group is for anyone who enjoys ocean swimming or dipping, particularly in the winter, and for people who like to walk with others, long or short distances, fast or slow, up and down or level. If you enjoy doing these activities and you appreciate the friendship, camaraderie and support that develops between people engaged in outdoor pursuits, then join us! 

We are a lively, happy, varied group and the conversation is never dull, so come and see if all-year-round swimming is for you. Most of us started off just curious, but quickly got hooked. It might look like a big step outside your comfort zone to go from your warm morning bed into the cold sea or up a cold mountain, but we guarantee you won't have an adventure quite like it under your doona! 

The group is open to all. Swimming is followed by hot drinks and home-cooked treats on the beach.
